The Chiefs of Keewaytinook Okimakanak have established the Keewaytinook Okimakanak Research Institute (KORI) with the purpose of fostering a network of community researchers dedicated to addressing and advancing priority research initiatives within their respective First Nation communities.

KORI is committed to facilitating community-driven research endeavors through comprehensive training, mentorship programs, and strategic collaborations with academic institutions throughout Canada. Anchored by its mandate, the Keewaytinook Okimakanak Research Institute endeavors to catalyze a transformative shift in the landscape of First Nation research methodologies within its purview, thereby equipping leadership with essential insights requisite for informed decision-making processes.
