Our mission is to improve the lives of KO families by increasing economic opportunities and providing a place for businesses to thrive.
Keewaytinook Okimakanak (KO) Economic Development works with KO First Nations to develop, promote, and support private sector initiatives and kindle the entrepreneurial spirit in the communities.
We network business development contacts in other organizations, financial institutions, and government departments and agencies to develop policies, or activities that seeks to improve the economic well-being or quality of life for our communities.
We engage partners from all over the world and across cultures to develop economic strategies for developing and growing business and jobs within KO traditional territories. As stewards and protectors of the land, we analyze business opportunities with environmental, social, and economic development objectives that respect the traditional values and knowledge for sustainable economic growth.
